How do I connect my TV to the Internet?

Getting your Internet capable TV connected to the Internet is pretty common. Especially if you'd like to use the built-in apps like Netflix, Hulu or other streaming services. However, the process is just a little bit involved, depending upon your TV model.

First off, you need to have a signed up for an account with us. If you haven't already, see Connecting to the Internet for the first time. It details the process of setting up an account with a device that has a browser.

Secondly, you'll need to get the MAC Address off of your TV. This may be involved depending upon your TV model, but generally the process is getting to your TV's Network Settings and finding the Wireless/WiFi MAC Address. We have a growing list below for your reference.

Thirdly, after successfully retrieving the MAC Address, you can go to http://myelauwit.com/myaccount and login with your username/password combination you chose when signing up for an account. Browse to Network, and then click on Add Device. Enter the MAC address of your TV and hit Submit.

Voila! That's it! You'll need to disconnect and reconnect your TV from the internet. If you have a TV that has an Ethernet connection, then you'll have to add that MAC Address too. Simply plugging in the Ethernet cord will not get you immediate internet access.
